Uddevalla District Court is a court with approximately 45 employees, located in central Uddevalla. The jurisdiction extends from Stenungsund in the south to Strömstad in the north.
We handle criminal cases, civil cases, court matters, and bankruptcies. We strive to be an open and modern workplace with engaged employees. Job Responsibilities

In the role of court administrator, you will be offered varied and developing tasks in an important and interesting operation.

As a court administrator, you will prepare cases and matters for decision and, on your own responsibility, among other things, receive and register documents, manage correspondence, plan court days, summon parties to hearings, maintain contacts with parties, lawyers, and authorities, and issue judgments and other documents. In the role of court administrator, you will handle several different cases and matters simultaneously, often at a high pace due to the deadlines that exist. You will also participate in the district court's quality and development work.

Minutes-taking at trials may be included in the job as a task.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

  • completed upper secondary education or other equivalent education with final grades
  • current and relevant work experience in administrative or case-handling work in recent years
  • good ability to express yourself well in the Swedish language both orally and in writing
  • good knowledge of English
  • good computer skills and sees computers and email as natural working tools.

It is meritorious if you have:
Experience from a court or Paralegal education.

You are responsible and have a strong commitment to your work, you value actively contributing to the development of the organization and have a solution-focused approach. Furthermore, you are meticulous and flexible and have a pronounced sense of service and quality. You are used to planning and organizing your work effectively. The work pace is often high, and to thrive with the tasks, you should be calm and stable and have a good ability to handle stress and prioritize. As we currently work with several IT tools, you need to have good skills in handling IT systems effectively.

As you are involved in ensuring that cases and matters are resolved efficiently and legally securely, it is required that you have very good judgment.

Great importance will be placed on your personal qualities.

The position begins with a probationary employment of six months.
