Association Coordinator at Social Administration Sydväst

Social Administration Sydväst is one of four social administrations in the City of Gothenburg with around 900 employees. In the Sydväst urban area, approximately 120,000 residents live, and the area stretches from Billdal to Högsbohöjd and to the southern archipelago. The administration's mission is to ensure that children, young people, and adults can live a safe and independent life and that children and young people have a rich leisure time. The administration also works to support homeless individuals towards permanent housing. Through collaboration with civil society, local businesses, and other actors, we aim to improve public health and safety in the area.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of association coordinator, you need to be able to work both with your own areas of responsibility and support the rest of the unit with their collective assignments. This involves both strategic and operational work.

You will be the administration's contact person regarding association matters and collaboration with civil society, which may involve contributing to the municipality's cross-administrative work to support civil society, and it may also include project management and/or participation in investigations concerning civil society.

This work is carried out in close collaboration with other colleagues in the administration who also work with civil society and association matters. As an association coordinator, you will lead the administration's efforts to develop and offer training opportunities to the city's associations, both established and newly started. You are responsible for communicating with the association community through the channels that the administration uses.

In the role of association coordinator, you will be responsible for disseminating knowledge about grant regulations and for communicating and marketing association grants to broaden the number of incoming applications from the association community.

Your role also includes processing, preparing decisions, preparing payments, and conducting follow-ups of the administration's grant management.

QUALIFICATIONS

For the position, you are required to have a university degree of at least 3 years in social work or another education that the employer considers equivalent. You also need to have experience in grant administration.

You should have previous work experience in preparing materials for political committees. We consider it an advantage if you have worked within civil society. Knowledge of board work within associations is also meritorious.

You can effectively identify and analyze the core of a problem and suggest possible solutions. You have the ability to see connections and can draw logical conclusions from limited and/or complex information.

You take responsibility for your tasks and the group's tasks. You think of those we are here for and their best interests. You do your best to complete all tasks correctly and follow up on how it turned out.

You see opportunities for change and create situations where new ideas and proposals can develop. You motivate others and explain changes pedagogically while handling criticism of change constructively.

You are comfortable in social situations. You stand by decisions made and can convey uncomfortable messages when necessary.
