The Supervisory Authority of Western Skaraborg is a collaboration for the supervisory activities in Essunga, Grästorp, Götene, Lidköping, Vara, Skara, and Karlsborg municipalities. The host municipality for the collaboration is Lidköping Municipality, where we are also stationed. The work involves cases concerning guardians, trustees, and custodians according to the Parental Code, as well as cases concerning guardians for unaccompanied children. We are now looking for a new colleague. Is it you?

Job Responsibilities

The job responsibilities are varied and include, among other things:

• Independently oversee representatives according to the Parental Code.
• Process cases according to applicable regulations in the Parental Code, Administrative Procedure Act, and other legislation. This may involve, for example, preparing statements for the court, investigative work, handling appeals, and, if applicable, representing the supervisory authority in court.
• Contact with authorities, operational managers within healthcare, social services, relatives, etc.
• Be responsible for recruiting and training representatives.
• Decide on fees for representatives and review accounting documents/annual accounts.
• Processing cases concerning guardianship for unaccompanied children.

Who are you?

We are now looking for someone interested in both case management and finance. If you have previous experience in case management within the supervisory authority, it is highly meritorious. Since a large part of the job involves reviewing annual accounts, it is advantageous if you have experience in accounting work or, for example, banking. You should enjoy working with numbers.

You should have a university degree with a focus on economics, law, social work, or another relevant university education. Experience from public authority work in municipal administration is also meritorious. It is important that you have good communication skills, as the work continuously involves contacts with authorities and other actors in various areas of society. You have a high level of integrity and find it easy to collaborate while also being able to work independently and efficiently. Attention to detail is important. You should enjoy meeting people and have the ability to make and communicate both positive and negative decisions. A driving license for a manual transmission is beneficial. Personal suitability is given great importance.

Conditions

Temporary position until 2026-08-31, starting as soon as possible. A probationary period may be applicable. As part of the recruitment process, we conduct personality and capacity tests during the selection process. Some financial background checks will be done before employment.
