Employment Officer for Southern Gothenburg

Unit's Mission

The Southern Gothenburg unit primarily operates in the central and western parts of Gothenburg. In addition to the Gothenburg area, the unit is also responsible for the municipalities of Mölndal and Härryda. We are about 150 employees working within the unit, distributed across several task sections.

We are now looking for an employment officer for the strengthened collaboration with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency.

The strengthened collaboration between the Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency aims to increase the individual's ability to develop or regain their work capacity and thereby be able to return to or obtain a job.

The Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency collaborate and assist with the support that each authority can provide, which means jointly investigating the need for and implementing measures that shorten the time in sick insurance and ensure that those who are on sick leave or have activity compensation develop or regain their work capacity and thus can return to or obtain employment.

The need for interventions should be identified and met as early as possible for those who require active rehabilitation measures. Through collaboration, the authorities should contribute to a low and stable sick leave over time.

Job Description

The Employment Service and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency are key players in supporting individuals with reduced work capacity to return to the labor market. We work in collaboration with the Swedish Social Insurance Agency with individuals in the rehabilitation chain. The work we offer is stimulating, varied, and developing with many contacts inside and outside our own organization.

You will participate in joint assessments for both employees and unemployed individuals on sick leave and have a coordinating responsibility for the processing process by initiating, coordinating, and following up on all planned measures for job seekers receiving preparatory work measures and work-oriented rehabilitation. You will plan activities that develop and/or investigate the work capacity of individuals either individually or together with, for example, specialists and partners. An important part of the job is to have employer contacts, primarily based on the individual's needs to find trial placements and adapted jobs within the framework of work-oriented rehabilitation.

Our Offer

The position is a permanent full-time employment that may begin with a six-month probationary period. The placement location is Gothenburg (Järntorget) or Mölndal. Basic Requirements for the Position

• Higher education of at least 180 credits/120 points, alternatively you are/have been employed as an employment officer at the Employment Service and are assessed to have good prospects of meeting today's requirements for employment officers
• At least two years of combined work experience of at least 50 percent
• Very good ability to communicate in Swedish in speech and writing, as well as good reading comprehension

Other Qualifications for the Position

• Experience of authority exercise in the last two years
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities
• Experience in work-oriented rehabilitation in the last two years
• Good ability to meet job seekers in need of work-oriented rehabilitation
