JOB DESCRIPTION
As a planning leader, you will work with processes in governance and management, systematic quality work, and project management. You will have a central role in our efforts to support, lead, and follow up on the administration's operations to ensure efficiency and quality.
The role of planning leader includes the following tasks:
- Governance and Management: You support the board and administration in the work with operational plans and assignment documents, including handling targeted assignments and internal control plans as well as related risk and consequence analyses. You perform analyses and investigations and prepare decision-making materials for the board and administrative management. It also includes process leading the work with our mandate goals and participating in municipality-wide working groups related to the mandate goals.
- Systematic Quality Work: This includes coordinating and developing our quality work through regular quality dialogues with operations, self-controls, and follow-ups of surveys. You handle and analyze deviations and investigate Lex Sarah reports. Based on our results, you propose and initiate development and improvement areas. You conduct process mapping based on the needs of the operations and prepare and compile the administration's quality report.
- Project and Change Management: The role also includes leading projects and change initiatives aimed at further developing the administration. You will work on development projects within the operations and collaborate closely with colleagues in the development team.
We are currently seeking a planning leader as one of our current planning leaders is moving on to another assignment within the administration. To match the applications correctly, we would like you to specify which area you have the most experience and engagement in; governance and management, systematic quality work, or project/change management. The planning leaders work closely together and form the development team.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an education in political science, social science, public administration, or similar, as well as several years of experience working in public operations, preferably within a social administration.
To succeed in this role, you need to have a strategic approach and be able to see a holistic perspective. You have good knowledge of the board processes and an understanding of what it means to work in a politically governed operation.
Good analytical skills and the ability to handle complex tasks are important qualities, as well as the ability to work both independently and in a team.
You have documented experience in driving and leading development work or projects/processes within public operations or other complex contexts. You are interested in working with change and improvement work and have an understanding of what fits in the operations today and in the future.
You work to create trusting relationships with those we serve and are a good communicator. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and are skilled at conveying a message in a pedagogical manner. You contribute to creating a positive work climate and can utilize/develop good ideas.
