About the role

Are you ready to take the next step in your payroll career and help shape how we handle payroll and HR? We are now looking for an independent and development-oriented Payroll Administrator to join our HR/Payroll department. At Kulturhuset Stadsteatern, you will have a unique key role. You will handle complex payroll matters in a dynamic and creative environment, while also implementing modern AI and automation tools to streamline and future-proof our payroll production.

Your responsibilities

  • Independent management of the entire payroll process for our employees within performing arts, culture, and administration.
  • Advising and supporting managers and employees on payroll and contract matters.
  • Driving development projects related to digitalization, where you help integrate and optimize AI solutions for controls, discrepancies, and reporting.
  • Ongoing reconciliations, tax reporting, statistics, and year-end closing.

Who are you?

We are looking for someone with solid experience in payroll work who thrives in a vibrant, changing organization. You have a good understanding of HR processes and are curious about new technology, viewing AI as a natural and exciting tool to reduce manual routine work and instead free up time for analysis, advisory services, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of documented experience in independent payroll administration.
  • Proficiency with systems and experience with modern payroll software and HR systems.
  • Basic understanding of how AI and digital workflows can be applied to the payroll process.
  • Post-secondary education in payroll (e.g., YH education) or equivalent knowledge.

Practical information about the role

This is a permanent full-time position with a probationary period. Start date is by agreement.
