Description

Torpaskolan has approximately 500 students from preschool class to grade 9, four after-school care units, and around 60 employees. The school is located close to the Delsjö area.

Our goal is to design a good, joyful, and varied school day together with you, with the students' best interests at the forefront. We are now looking for a music teacher for grades 4–9 at Torpaskolan.

Responsibilities

As a music teacher, you are responsible for our students' music education. You will play a crucial role in building the students' musicality, creativity, and self-confidence.

In this role, you will:

• Plan and conduct music lessons for grades 4–9.
• Support students' individual development and create an inclusive learning environment.
• Create and adapt teaching materials to meet the different needs and interests of the students.
• Plan smaller performances, such as term-end celebrations and Lucia processions, that foster community and a sense of belonging.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop projects that include music and other subjects.
• Encourage and support students in their individual musical interests, whether they are beginners or play instruments.

We have a very nice music room with several rooms and many instruments at our disposal.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach music in grades 4–9. Previous experience teaching music is advantageous.

You are familiar with the school's governing documents and have an inclusive perspective, as well as the ability to see how the individual student's needs can best be met.

As a person, you need to have the ability to work flexibly and communicate pedagogical issues with both staff, students, and guardians. You work systematically to help students reach their goals.

You are goal- and results-oriented and, through a conscious approach, create safety, trust, and good relationships. You feel a genuine commitment to our students and have a good ability to create structure in the operations.
