Betelskolan is a free school located on Hönö in the northern archipelago of Gothenburg. Here, 190 students attend grades preschool class to year 9.

We are currently looking for dedicated teachers for our after-school center (fritidshem) for the 2026/2027 school year.

At Betelskolan, we focus on the student's entire school day. Our after-school center is an integrated and vital part of the operation, where we work to provide children with an stimulating environment filled with creativity, movement, and social interaction. We are a positive and engaged team that supports each other, prioritizing the children's safety and development.

Your Role

As a teacher at our after-school center, you play a key role in the children's daily lives. Your main responsibilities include:

• Planning, implementing, and evaluating pedagogical activities based on curriculum documents and the children's interests.
• Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment where all children are seen and challenged according to their prerequisites.
• Collaborating closely with your colleagues at the after-school center as well as with the school during the school day (e.g., in the classroom or during breaks).
• Building good and trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.

Betelskolan is a Christian-based school, which permeates the school's work with its value base and view of students. We work with three profile areas: Learning for Life, Creativity and Entrepreneurship, and Adventure.

The curriculum emphasizes that the school should not only impart knowledge but also prepare students to meet the future and be active citizens in a democratic society. In other words, learning for life.

Creativity involves promoting students' ability to think new thoughts, try, and solve problems, while entrepreneurship aims to develop skills such as initiative-taking, responsibility, and innovative thinking.

At Betelskolan, we undertake larger and smaller adventures during the students' school time. We want students to learn for life and show them a broader context than just the place they live in.

Betelskolan is run by a non-profit foundation which also serves as the main operator of the school.
