About the Job

Agneberg is part of Uddevalla Upper Secondary School. At Agneberg, we offer the Economics Programme (EK), Vocational Apprenticeship (GLU), Restaurant and Food Programme (RL), Hotel and Tourism Programme, Social Science Programme (SA), Introduction Programme (IM), and Adapted Upper Secondary School. In total, we have approximately 1,200 students and 140 staff members. We have access to modern IT technology and a well-developed library. Agneberg has a well-established international network with exchanges in several other countries. We have a fantastic student health team, as well as study and career counselors and school psychologists.

Responsibilities

• You will teach students on the Social Science Programme and other school programmes in Swedish, History, and potentially other subjects such as Rhetoric and the Upper Secondary School Project.
• Work as a resource teacher in the study hall with support may occur in the role.
• Mentorship together with a colleague is included.
• Work together with colleagues on other common tasks within the Social Science Programme.

You will be part of the wonderful team in the Social Science Programme workgroup and work to ensure that students develop into good citizens, good employees, and good human beings for the future!

• Have a strong interest in working with upper secondary school students.
• Are structured and have a good ability to plan your teaching in a way that meets students' needs and interests.
• Are organized and have the ability to prioritize your work effectively.
• Dare to think and test new things on your own and also together with colleagues.
• Have the ability to be creative and responsible in your teaching as well as in the teaching profession as a whole.
• Help students succeed in their studies!

Great importance is placed on personal qualities – we are looking for a team player who wants to work together to develop the Social Science Programme with us at Agneberg!

Qualifications

• You are a certified teacher in Swedish, History, and potentially other subjects.
• You are familiar with the upper secondary school's steering documents.
• You have the student and the operations in focus.
• You are computer literate and see digital technology as a natural way of working.
• You are interested in developing your teaching and want to work for increased goal fulfillment.
• It is an advantage if you have a subject combination suitable for the Social Science Programme with additional subjects such as sociology, philosophy, or modern languages.
