About Streteredsskolan

Streteredsskolan is located by the nature-rich Tulebosjön lake in Kållered. We are a school for grades 4-9 with approximately 430 students. The school collaborates across different grade levels to create a safe learning environment for all our students. We actively work to ensure that every student feels seen and validated based on their abilities and needs.

Streteredsskolan is organized into work teams with mixed grade levels. For several years, we have been a mobile-phone-free school where all students have their own computer, and the computer is well-established as a pedagogical tool in teaching. The school has a staffed library that is open every day, as well as school wardens who are available daily for our students in grades 4-9. We also have after-school activities for grades 4-6.

Responsibilities

Streteredsskolan is looking for a teacher of English and Swedish in grades 4-9.

As a teacher at Streteredsskolan, you are responsible for driving and developing the pedagogical work with the aim of increasing students' achievement of goals. The work involves planning, evaluating, and following up on students' knowledge and social development, both individually and in collaboration with colleagues.

You are an active part of a work team with teachers who have different competencies. The work teams at Streteredsskolan are characterized by collaboration and community.

The position includes mentorship as part of the active work to create safe students at the school.

Qualifications

It is important that you have a positive basic attitude and are an engaged and responsible teacher. You have flexibility regarding all daily and long-term changes that are part of the pedagogical work. You have excellent collaboration skills and enjoy building relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians. To motivate, inspire, and challenge students, you need the ability to show trust and be clear about structure and leadership in the classroom.

You meet all students where they are and see the whole student, both strengths and areas for development. You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and you create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You who apply to us enjoy meeting others and have the ability to create good relationships at different levels, both internally and externally.
