About Rydskolan

Rydskolan consists of a comprehensive school, an adapted comprehensive school, and a reception and mother-tongue unit. The school has excellent and purpose-built facilities, and several classrooms have been refreshed and expanded. We have equipped classrooms with cameras and sound leveling systems. Middle school students have their own computers, and lower primary school students have access to iPads. During the 2026/2027 academic year, significant investments will be made in learning environments, involving all staff in developing these spaces for students.

The school leadership of Rydskolan's comprehensive school consists of a principal and an assistant principal. Five lead teachers form the school's management group, with priority development areas being reading comprehension across all subjects and mathematics. All teachers at the school who teach mathematics will participate in the municipal initiative "Creating Thinking Classrooms in Mathematics" together with NCM during the upcoming academic year. We have an implemented operational and development organization that handles the challenges we face in operational and strategic work. Rydskolan has a strong and competent student health team consisting of a counselor, school nurse, special needs educator, special teacher, psychologist, speech therapist, and school leadership. Responsibilities

You will be part of a work team with Grades F-3 teachers and have responsibility for the school library. You will play a key role in Rydskolan's important initiative to improve reading comprehension across all subjects and to increase students' love for reading. The position involves responsibility for cooperation with the branch library located in the same building as the school, lending books to our students, and teaching in classes as an additional teacher, primarily in Swedish as a First/Second Language (SFL/SVL), but preferably also in mathematics.

With us, you will receive ongoing professional development in the aforementioned areas, in addition to working with excellent colleagues. Rydskolan has a strong student health team, and we have a special focus on early interventions. You will receive support from special needs educators and special teachers in your work with students. We have newly built, spacious, and well-equipped classrooms with associated group rooms, and we continuously invest in learning materials and pedagogical resources.

Qualifications and Merits

Qualifications: We are looking for a certified teacher for Grades 1–7 in Swedish as a First/Second Language (SFL/SVL) and preferably Mathematics, with a strong ability to build trusting relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are a clear leader with the ability to adapt teaching to reach all students.

Merits: Experience with or responsibility for school librarian duties is advantageous.
