What we offer

Kristinebergskolan in Åmål gathers all students in grades 7-9 in and around Åmål. Here, there is a good working climate between the school's 400 students and around 50 staff members. The school is undergoing exciting development work with the student in focus. We have invested in classes with fewer students, home classrooms, and teachers close to the students, organized in cross-disciplinary work teams.

The school is led by the principal and deputy principal. Student health services are on-site every day with special education teachers, counselors, and school nurses, as well as special needs teachers and social pedagogues. Several teaching assistants support both students and staff in the different work teams.

Your role

Teaching in Mathematics and/or Natural Sciences (NO). You have great opportunities to shape your own role regarding the distribution between the subjects Mathematics and Natural Sciences, or if you wish to teach exclusively in Mathematics or exclusively in Natural Sciences. Mentoring together with a colleague is also included in the position.

Who you are

We are looking for you who enjoy working together with colleagues to put the student's learning and social development in focus. In addition to actively contributing to the development of the subjects and the school, we see that you place great importance on close cooperation with student health services, school management, and other staff. You adapt the teaching based on students' needs and have contact with guardians regarding students' knowledge development and needs.

Formal competence requirements

• Qualified and licensed teacher in Mathematics and/or Natural Sciences.
• The employment assumes that you have a B driver's license.
• Digital identification with BankID.

Merits

• Experience from previous teaching.
• Experience from previous work with extra adjustments and special support.
• Experience from previous work based on MI (Motivational Interviewing).

The employment

Permanent employment at 50–100% with a start date of August 12. The position is tailored based on your preference for working hours. The position is currently located at Kristinebergskolan in the Primary School Operations, Area C within the Culture and Education Administration. The direct manager is the principal at Kristinebergskolan. The position is subject to the necessary decisions being made.
