The Culture School in Skövde is part of the Culture Department and, together with the City Museum, forms part of Skövde Culture Factory. Adjacent premises also house the music specialization of the Esthetic Programme.

The Culture School aims to broaden the range of courses offered to the municipality's children and young people.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Culture School in Skövde is looking for a course instructor for a new short course in textile crafts.

The course will be conducted over six sessions in September and October. The course takes place one evening per week for five weeks, plus a concluding day during week 44. The employment is a fixed-term hourly position equivalent to approximately 10% of full-time.

As the course leader, you are expected to collaborate with the culture school to develop the content and course plan. As a leader, you have significant opportunities to influence the content based on your competencies.

The target group for the course is young people aged 13-18. The course has eight participant spots.

The course will be held at the Crafts House in Skövde in collaboration with the Skaraborg Home Crafts Association and the West Sweden Home Crafts Consultant. As a course instructor, you are also expected to participate in the evaluation of the course.

An extract from the police record of convictions will be requested upon employment.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have:

• Experience in pedagogical work with young people
• Extensive experience in personal creation in textiles
• The ability and willingness to share your knowledge

Meritorious if you have vocational training in textile crafts and/or pedagogy.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 11 days - 3 months, start date: September 2026.
