Do you want to make a difference every day? We are looking for childcare workers who know Swedish Sign Language for the preschool at Bronsåldersgatan.

As a childcare worker with us, you will help lay the foundation for children's learning and development. You are an important person in their daily lives; you spread joy, make them feel safe, and encourage them to discover new things.
You work together with engaged colleagues and contribute to ensuring that the teaching follows the preschool curriculum and the School Act. Through play and conversation, routines and experiences, you give the children the best possible start in life.

At Bronsåldersgatan 27 in Västra Frölunda, there is one of Gothenburg's specialist preschools that receives children who are deaf, deafblind, have hearing impairments, or for other reasons need to learn or develop Swedish Sign Language. Children from all over Gothenburg come here to have the opportunity to strengthen language, communication, and learning in a sign language environment.
As a childcare worker with us, you are an important linguistic role model. You use Swedish Sign Language in everyday life and help the children develop their language and communication. You become part of a smaller preschool with three departments, a large yard, and proximity to nature. Together with engaged colleagues, you create a learning environment where all children can participate, express themselves, and develop according to their prerequisites.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who are a fully qualified childcare worker with at least 1,300 upper secondary school credits and a passing grade in the upper secondary course Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1.
To succeed in the role, you need to be secure, receptive, and engaged, as well as understand children's unique needs for development. You also need to be good at collaborating and communicating, both verbally and digitally.
Furthermore, you have good knowledge of Swedish Sign Language and feel secure in using sign language as the primary communication language in meetings with the children. It is also highly meritorious if you have knowledge of other countries' sign languages.
We also consider it meritorious if you have previous experience working with deaf and deafblind children, as well as children in need of special support.
In your application, we ask you to attach complete grades from the childcare worker education as well as grades in Swedish 1/Swedish as a Second Language 1. Note that we will only process applications with complete grades.
