Personal Assistant for a Little Girl in Svenljunga

This is a role for you who want to work closely with a child and her family, with warmth, responsibility, and professionalism. As a personal assistant, you will become a very important part of the girl's daily life and contribute to security, development, joy, and quality of life.

At the same time, you work in the family's home, which means you need to have great respect for the family's privacy. You need to be active, present, and proactive – but also have a sensitive touch for when the family needs to just be a family and when you, as an assistant, should take a step back.

About the Girl

The girl has a cerebral palsy (CP) injury, is wheelchair-bound, and has a PEG tube. She has assistance around the clock and needs support in all parts of her daily life.

The work involves, among other things, being helpful with:

• Care and nursing
• Tube feeding/PEG
• Hygiene
• Activation and play
• Communication
• Mobility/Transfers
• Security and support in all daily moments

You will work closely with both the girl and her family and be an important person in her life.

Requirements

To be considered for the position, you must meet the following requirements:

• You are a woman, considering the nature of the work and close personal care
• You have a driver's license and access to a car
• You speak and write fluent Swedish
• You are a non-smoker
• You are not afraid of dogs or have a fur allergy, as there is a dog in the home
• You have good cooperation skills
• You can work professionally in a family's home
• You can take your own initiatives while following routines and instructions

The Swedish language level is particularly important because in the role you need to be able to communicate clearly, report correctly, and absorb information. You may also come into contact with, for example, healthcare, habilitation, doctors, authorities, and other important agencies around the girl.

Merits

• Experience from preschool, school, or childcare

Working Hours

The assistance is scheduled for day, evening, and awake night. The working hours are:

• Day shift: 08:00–15:00
• Evening shift: 15:00–22:00
• Awake night: 22:00–08:00

Night staff work only at night. For day and evening shifts, there is an opportunity to work both day and evening or only one of these times.

The positions start as hourly temporary positions, with the aim of transitioning to permanent positions for the right people when the assistance is established and the collaboration works well for the customer, family, and assistance group.
