Do you want to help create a safe and meaningful everyday life for others? Mellerud Municipality is now looking for an engaged support assistant for our LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) service housing.

About the workplace

The service housing is adapted for people with disabilities, where support is provided based on individual needs and implementation plans.

Job Responsibilities

As a support assistant, you provide users with support in their daily lives, focusing on independence, participation, and quality of life. The work involves, among other things:

• Supporting daily activities such as household chores, shopping, and leisure
• Working with a pedagogical and low-arousal approach
• Documenting according to SoL/LSS and following up on implementation plans
• Collaborating with colleagues, relatives, and other professions

Qualifications (Requirements)

• Education as a support assistant, assistant nurse, or other equivalent education
• Experience working within LSS and psychiatry
• Good ability to work with people with mental health issues
• Good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing; a language test will be conducted digitally to verify proficiency for the position
• Experience documenting in operational systems

Meritorious

• Experience with low-arousal approaches and clear pedagogy

Other Information

The work involves scheduled working hours (day, evening, weekend, and sleeping on-call duty).

The position is a one-year fixed-term contract, with a possibility of extension.
