Job Description

Do you want to work in an organization where you can use your pedagogical competence to create safety, inclusion, and development in everyday life? We are now looking for a Support Pedagogue for Utjordsgatan Housing with Special Service. The activity is aimed at adults with intellectual and physical disabilities and an early developmental level, where communication is largely non-verbal and based on close interaction and a responsive approach.

As a Support Pedagogue, you play a central role in the operation with special responsibility for development, quality, and user focus. You use your advanced pedagogical competence to ensure that the support for each individual is of high quality and carried out in accordance with current implementation plans. Part of the assignment involves quality-assuring social documentation and following up on implementation plans, as well as contributing a holistic perspective through environmental monitoring and development work.

The role combines development work with direct work in the operation, giving you good insight into daily life and creating conditions for close and sustainable quality work. If necessary, you also provide practical support to our residents, for example in personal care, cooking, and medication management. The work is very care-oriented and is based on a responsive and respectful approach in close interaction with each individual.

You supervise the work group based on the operation's needs and methods. Together with your colleagues, you play a central role in the operation's quality development and systematic improvement work.

You are part of a network with other pedagogues and collaborate with relatives, guardians, and other key persons to ensure the tenant receives good care, support, and service.

Housing with Special Service offers support around the clock. We base our work on the tenants' needs and need to adjust working hours accordingly. Working hours are scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts as needed. We use Time Care Planning for operation-adapted and influenceable schedules.

We welcome your application!

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have education as a support pedagogue or social pedagogue, or alternatively a post-secondary specialization within the disability field comprising at least 200 YH credits, 120 university credits, or a combination equivalent to at least four terms of full-time studies. Alternatively, 60 university credits and at least two years of experience working with support and service for people with disabilities. The education should have relevant credits in behavioral science, pedagogy, psychology, social work, and (psychiatric) care.

To be able to maintain documentation, you need to master the Swedish language in speech and writing, which implies a requirement of passing grades in Swedish 1, Swedish as a Second Language 1, or equivalent. You who do not meet the qualification requirements may be offered to take a language test through the test provider Educateit.

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a support pedagogue and experience with the target group of people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Knowledge of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) is also considered meritorious.

We place great importance on personal competencies. You have a good approach and meet each individual with respect, warmth, and responsiveness. You are communicative and have the ability to adapt your way of communicating based on the individual's needs and conditions. You are flexible and can adjust when situations change, while maintaining a calm and professional attitude. Furthermore, you are team-oriented, contribute to a good work climate, and work actively together with colleagues to achieve common goals.
