We are now looking for a counselor (40% position) who wants to help develop our promoting and preventive student health work. You will become an important part of the school's student health team and work closely with students, guardians, teachers, and school management. At the same time, you will be part of Frida Schools' larger network of counselors and student health staff, where experience sharing, collaboration, and professional development are a natural part of the role.

About the Position

As a counselor here, you have a central role in the school's student health work. You work both promoting, preventive, and remedial to create the best conditions for students' development and learning.

Your duties include, among other things:

• Conduct individual support and counseling conversations with students.
• Actively participate in the school's student health team.
• Contribute psychosocial competence in student cases and school development issues.
• Collaborate with guardians, social services, child and adolescent psychiatry (BUP), and other external actors as needed.
• Work preventively and health-promoting through, for example, group interventions, workshops, and theme days.
• Support the school's work with safety, equal treatment, and core values.
• Contribute to developing the school's student health work together with colleagues within Frida Schools.

The position is a permanent 40% employment with a six-month probation period. Start date is August 2026 or by agreement. Working hours are scheduled for Thursdays and preferably Wednesdays, but the second working day can be discussed.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another education that Frida Gymnasium assesses as equivalent.

It is meritorious if you have experience working in primary or upper secondary schools, student health, or other youth activities. Experience in counseling support, collaboration with external authorities, and preventive student health work is also valuable.

As a person, you are secure, sensitive, and relationship-building. You easily create trust with students, guardians, and colleagues and see collaboration as a natural part of the work. At the same time, you are self-reliant and enjoy planning and driving your work forward.
