The responsibilities include supporting and guiding clients towards self-sufficiency, as well as investigating eligibility for financial assistance. By working closely with clients in every phase of their development, you ensure they receive the tools and support they need to succeed. The path to self-sufficiency looks different for every individual, and the role involves meeting the client where they are. This may involve collaboration with various partners within the social services office, healthcare, and not least the actors who provide work-oriented interventions for our target group. Examples of available interventions include Vamos, Smedjan, Kompetenscenter, and Finsam. Through our automated system, Görel, you will receive support in managing social assistance in an efficient and legally secure manner.
Rehab 2 is one of four units within financial assistance in the administration. We work with people who have substance abuse issues and/or health problems. The unit consists of eight social secretaries, one social administrator, one first-level social secretary, and one unit manager. Additionally, the administration's labor market interventions for the target group, Vamos and Smedjan, belong to the unit. When you start with us, you will become part of a competent and engaged work group with mixed experiences.
To leverage each other's knowledge and provide support in daily life, you are offered both methodological supervision from your first social secretary and external process guidance.

About you
We are looking for you who have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Since the duties involve a lot of documentation and communication, you need to be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing. It is an advantage if you have experience in authority exercises, especially social assistance, and experience with the target group of people with substance abuse issues.
To handle the role of social secretary, you need to take responsibility for your and the shared tasks with the best interests of the operations/users in focus. You take your tasks seriously, are keen to finish what you have started, and ensure that the work is done correctly.
Furthermore, you need to have the ability to create structure in your work by planning, organizing, and prioritizing your work effectively.
It is also important that you show respect and consideration for those you meet in your professional role. You are friendly and helpful to other people even in a stressful situation. You proceed from the equal value of all and create a good atmosphere in the meeting. You have an open and positive attitude as you have the individual's needs as the starting point for your actions.
The position also requires that you have the ability to work together with others to perform tasks and achieve goals. By being interested and creating understanding for others, you work for a respectful work climate. You understand the common mission, act based on it, and contribute to the whole.
