Internationella Engelska Skolan (IES) in Hässleholm is currently seeking a qualified Music Teacher to join our team, teaching Year 4 through Year 9. We offer an exciting role within a dynamic and international school environment.
IES Hässleholm opened its doors in 2015 and currently has around 320 students in Years F–9. The school is located centrally in Hässleholm, within walking distance of the train station and the city center. At IES, you become part of a truly international environment where teachers and students from all corners of the world collaborate. Our goal is for all students to master the English language, and we hold high expectations for achieving our academic and social objectives.
We are looking for a teacher with enthusiasm for their subject, excellent classroom management skills, and a sincere interest in student well-being. As a Music Teacher, you will be part of a year team (arbetslag) overseeing the academic progress and well-being of students. We seek a positive and creative team player who looks for solutions, shares ideas, and is open to learning from others. The role also includes mentorship responsibilities.
Since teaching is conducted in both Swedish and English, it is highly advantageous if you are educated in Sweden and hold a Swedish teaching license. Experience teaching in Sweden and knowledge of the Swedish curriculum (Lgr22) are also valued.
Teaching at IES Hässleholm is delivered in both Swedish and English, following the Swedish national curriculum. Our student body is diverse, requiring a good understanding of students' differences and the ability to adapt and plan lessons accordingly. The language of meetings and communication among staff is English.
