Job Description

Are you a knowledgeable, professional, cheerful, positive, and relational person who wants to work with us at Klagshamnsskolan? Now is your chance as we are looking for a teacher in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Your responsibilities include planning and conducting teaching, as well as assessing students' acquired knowledge. You evaluate and develop pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the students' needs and interests, both individually and in collaboration with the teaching team. You employ creative teaching methods and find strategies to reach every student.

You collaborate with other school staff to ensure a good learning and working environment for both students and staff, and you actively participate in the school's development work. The role includes mentorship, where you are responsible for a middle school class together with a colleague.

For the upcoming school year, you will be responsible for teaching in a grade 8 class where you will also serve as a mentor alongside a colleague. You will also be involved in building our expanded Special Needs Unit (SU) group, bringing expertise in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a teaching license with eligibility to teach Mathematics and all Natural Science subjects in middle school (grades 7-9).

You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work to support students towards their goals.

Based on research and proven experience, you develop and improve your work individually and in collaboration with others.

Experience teaching students with special needs in a Special Needs Unit (SU) group or individually is considered an asset.

About the Workplace

Klagshamnsskolan is a school located in Klagshamn, just south of Malmö. We have nature close by, with a lake, forest, beach, and sea within easy reach.

Approximately 740 students from preschool class to grade 9 attend Klagshamnsskolan, and about 90 people work here. The school is divided into two buildings: the Klagshamn Building, where we have grades F and 1 this year, and the Strand Building, where we have grades 2-9 this year. The leadership team consists of the principal, three deputy principals, and an administrative manager.
