RESPONSIBILITIES

Are you the one who trains tomorrow's welders?

We are looking for an engaged and experienced welder for our welding courses at Osby Komvux (Adult Education Centre). You will teach courses/programs in welding at various levels, from basic level to University College level. The work includes planning, conducting both theoretical and practical teaching, as well as assessment and grading. Sourcing of workplace learning placements (APL/LIA/Practicum) and contact with supervisors. We work in close cooperation with colleagues and working life.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have adequate education in the field or at least two years of professional experience from the current industry during the last 5 years.

You have experience of the education system and are an International Welder (IW).

We would prefer that you are an instructor in forklift, lift, and fall protection, and that you meet the requirements of the Welding Commission and Osby Komvux for an IWS certified teacher, certified according to ISO 9606 at pipe level, and have documented competence in the welding methods: MAG, TIG, and MMA.

• Pedagogical education equivalent to at least 1 term full-time, or at least 3 years of documented experience in educating adults and/or young adults (16-25 years).
• You take overall responsibility for the students' learning, both in school and during workplace learning placements.
• You work in a structured, clear, and high-quality manner in your teaching.
• You have the ability to build professional relationships with students, colleagues, and working life.
• You do not give up if the students' development does not meet expectations, but rather adapt and follow up on the teaching.
• You see documentation, follow-up, and assessment as a natural part of the teaching role.
• You work with collegial cooperation and have clear structures for teaching.
• You want to work in an organization where professional competence, pedagogy, and working life collaborate.

There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the operations.
