We are looking for a BAS-U to work with a traffic authority.

This is a consulting assignment. The location is Stockholm.

The position is at 50% of a full-time role.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

As a BAS-U within a larger cross-rail project, you are responsible for coordinating and monitoring occupational health and safety work during the execution phase. The role involves close cooperation with the project organization, contractors, and other occupational health and safety resources to ensure a safe working environment, compliance with current requirements, and structured safety work throughout the entire project implementation.

Responsibilities

• Organize and lead safety activities and promote safe behaviors on the construction site.
• Ensure that the occupational health and safety plan is established, communicated, and adhered to by all parties.
• Review work preparations and risk assessments, and follow up that measures are implemented in production.
• Ensure competence, access control, protective devices, and that technical equipment and operators meet current requirements.
• Coordinate contractors and operational managers to maintain safe working and protective conditions.
• Lead safety meetings, participate in safety rounds, and plan and conduct safety audits.
• Ensure reporting and follow-up of incidents, accidents, and corrective and preventive actions.
• Give the go-ahead before production starts, ensure the right competence for work tasks, and report to project management and the safety strategist.

Requirements (OBS, mandatory)

• At least 4 years of work experience as a BAS-U in construction and infrastructure projects, with at least one project having a budget of at least 100 million SEK.
• Documented BAS-U education.

Meritorious Qualifications

• At least 2 years of work experience as a SOA (Track Area Responsible).
• Education in contract law, regarding AB04/ABT09.
