Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees meet with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools across the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals according to their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

Ljustadalen School is a F-6 school located approximately 10 km from Sundsvall center, near Birsta shopping center. The school offers primary school grades F-6 and adapted primary school grades 1-6, with a focus on both subjects and subject areas. We have approximately 250 students and 65 employees with various competencies. Ljustadalen School is a school for everyone; here we help each other so that everyone succeeds! We are a school where we see differences as an asset. We actively work to give all students the opportunity to develop their full potential.

How you contribute as a teacher

We are looking for an engaged and certified teacher for instruction in the school's "Lärlabb" (Learning Lab), special education group. Together with a teaching colleague, you provide support to students in grades 3-6 who, for various reasons, cannot reach their goals and/or need a different learning environment during part of the school day. Even though you work in the special education group, you are never alone. You become an important part of the grade 4-6 team. At our school, collaboration between colleagues is the key to developing the school forward and giving students the best conditions to succeed.

Your skills and experience

In our special education group, the ability to build relationships is the foundation of everything we do. For our students to learn, they must first feel safe. Therefore, your ability to build good relationships is crucial for the job. You become the safe point that allows students to dare to try, fail, and eventually succeed in school. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Good to know

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated salary setting applies.

Terms: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se
