We are now looking for a primary school teacher for Sörlidenskolan!

If you are new to the profession, Örnsköldsvik Municipality offers an induction program for new teachers. During your first year, you will be assigned a mentor—an experienced teacher with the same subject qualifications—who can guide and support you.

Responsibilities

You will teach most subjects in Year 2 and will have overall responsibility for the student group. This involves handling documentation and maintaining contact with guardians. You will work as part of a team, planning, implementing, and following up on teaching together with your colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you with a teaching degree for primary school grades F-3. You enjoy challenges, think outside the box, and see differences and diversity as a foundation for learning and development. You are a confident adult and a clear leader in the classroom. Being a role model and creating a good atmosphere in the student group and among staff is second nature to you.

We would appreciate it if you have experience leading group processes, the ability to create structure, and the skill to adapt teaching based on the needs of the group and individuals. You are sensitive, take responsibility, are engaged, and creative.

We welcome knowledge of Finnish and/or any of the Sami varieties, as Örnsköldsvik Municipality is part of both the Finnish and Sami administrative areas.

Several positions in our municipality are classified for security reasons, so a security clearance may be required. These positions may require Swedish citizenship.
