Within the Child and Education Administration, our approximately 3,000 employees interact with around 14,000 children and students at more than 100 preschools and schools throughout the municipality every day. Every child and student in Sundsvall Municipality's preschools and schools should be able to develop, learn, and reach their goals based on their own prerequisites. Every student should leave school with the desire, knowledge, and good conditions to meet adult life and the future.

Your new workplace

Welcome to apply for a position at Gångviken School! We offer an attractive workplace where colleagues are close by and where we work together to ensure students reach their goals. We work in a team that spans the entire F-6 (preschool class to grade 6), and the after-school center also has its own team. The school is an F-6 school with an after-school center. We have a school IF (sports club) as well as a well-functioning collaboration with El Sistema, where our students get the opportunity to play string instruments and participate in various contexts where they play together. The school is relatively newly renovated and has a nice schoolyard.

How you contribute in the role of teacher

From the autumn term 2026, this position involves work in the preschool class (förskoleklass). After this school year, you will follow your students up to grade 1. This means you will have your class continuously from preschool class to grade 3.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have teacher certification with eligibility to teach in grades F-3. You need to have experience teaching in socioeconomically challenging areas, including the tasks that may come with it. You need to be excellent at social interactions and able to translate that expertise into good relationships with students and guardians.

Good to know

Salary: Monthly/hourly wage. Individual and differentiated pay setting is applied.

Conditions: Salary supplements beyond the monthly wage follow the applicable collective agreement. Central collective agreements can be found on the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions website, www.skr.se.

Collective Agreement: HÖK 25, Teachers in Sweden (Sveriges lärare).
