Administrator for Information Service on Special Support

The Education Administration in Stockholm is Sweden's largest administration with approximately 15,000 employees. We are responsible for the operation and development of the municipality's 141 primary schools and 26 secondary schools.

The mission of the Primary School Department is to realize the goals and visions of the Education Committee for the city's municipal primary schools and adapted primary schools, based on the Education Act, regulations, curricula, and other regulations. The operations include the school forms of preschool class, primary school, adapted primary school, and leisure centers.

The Primary School Department supports and creates conditions for schools to fulfill their missions. The department's staff also assists the primary school director and primary school managers in leading and managing operations at the principal level.

We are now looking for an administrator for information service on special support for students and for coordination within adapted primary schools.

Job Description

You will independently develop and be responsible for the Primary School Department's new information service where guardians can turn for information about special support, as well as work in a team responsible for coordinating the adapted primary schools.

The assignment includes:

  • answering questions and providing guidance to guardians regarding special support
  • being a competence support to school leaders and staff within adapted primary schools.
  • contributing to leading established networks for school leaders, teachers, and leisure center staff within adapted primary schools.
  • contributing to monitoring quality, identifying areas for development, and spreading good examples within adapted primary schools
  • working with capacity planning in close collaboration with relevant functions
  • maintaining collaboration with actors such as the preschool administration, LSS, social services, Region Stockholm, habilitation centers, and interest organizations.

Other tasks may also occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a qualified special educator or have another relevant higher education. You have good knowledge of the city's special education groups and experience from working in adapted primary schools. The work also requires that you have good knowledge of the governing documents, legislation, operations, and current guidelines of the adapted primary school.

You find it easy to collaborate, create good relationships, and provide guidance in a accommodating and clear manner. You need to have good judgment, be attentive, analytical, meticulous, and able to work solution-focused and independently based on your function. It is also important that you can express yourself well in good Swedish, both orally and in writing. We place great emphasis on personal suitability for the assignment.
