What will you work with?
As an accountant, your tasks will include:
- Asset accounting.
- Grant accounting.
- Monthly and year-end closing work (financial parts).
- Government group accounting (reporting in Hermes).
- Financial review of allocated state grants.
- Tax and VAT declarations.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for someone who has either started their career as an accountant a few years ago or has several years of experience. Together with the accounting manager, you will ensure that existing accounting processes are functioning well and comply with applicable regulations for government accounting. The ongoing work will be interspersed with continuous improvement work where various subprocesses are refined and adapted based on needs and current opportunities. In the near future, the agency will develop a new economic model, where you and your colleagues are expected to contribute.
You will be part of the Finance Unit, which is part of the Department of Business Development and Support.
Requirements for the position:
- University degree in economics or equivalent work experience, which the employer assesses as equivalent for the assignment.

What does the unit do?
The Finance Unit ensures that the agency follows good accounting practices, submits our external financial reports on time, and is responsible for the financial parts of the annual report.
We are responsible for financial planning and assist with follow-up for internal governance in close collaboration with department heads and unit managers. We also ensure that the agency's purchases are made in accordance with applicable legislation and review contracts and provide procedures and templates to streamline the agency's purchasing.

About the employment
You will be employed as an administrator based at our office in Solna or Östersund. The position is a permanent full-time employment that begins with a six-month probationary period. Start date will be as soon as possible by agreement.
As an employee of the Public Health Agency of Sweden, you may be placed in a war position. Certain positions are classified where Swedish citizenship may be a requirement. Security clearance will then be conducted in accordance with the Security Protection Act (2018:585).
At the agency, there may be an opportunity to enter into an agreement for remote work of up to 40 percent of your working time.
