Description

Welcome to Fiskebäcksskolan. We are looking for teachers qualified in Mathematics and Natural Sciences (NO) for the lower secondary school (grades 7-9). Here, you will work to develop teaching methods together with your colleagues. The position also includes mentorship duties.

Fiskebäcksskolan is a comprehensive school (grades F-9) with approximately 600 students. The school operates with two parallel classes.

At our school, we work to develop teaching so that all students feel safe and develop to their full potential based on their individual prerequisites.

We have students from preschool class to grade 9. We focus on student development in a safe and creative learning environment. The school's proximity to the sea offers exciting teaching opportunities, and we often take excursions in our local area.

Responsibilities

We offer an exciting and challenging assignment where you work with the aim and goal that all students should have a meaningful, stimulating, and challenging activity based on the National Curriculum. The position includes planning, implementation, and evaluation of teaching in your subjects, which is done in collaboration with your teaching colleagues. Furthermore, it includes mentorship/class teacher responsibilities and participation in the teaching team. Together, we work on safety and study environment, along with related tasks.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified primary school teacher, or at the end of your education, with the qualification to teach in grades 7-9, or alternatively with the qualification to teach in grades 4-9 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences.

As a person, you are calm and stable and have the ability to create a safe environment for all students. You have the ability to build good relationships with students and provide clear leadership in the classroom. You use methods to include all students and are willing to try and review your methodology to meet existing needs. Your creativity is contagious and creates engagement and motivates learning. You are unpretentious and gladly contribute ideas and new ways of thinking to drive the operations forward.

To ensure that you, as a newly graduated teacher, get the best possible start in your profession, you will participate in the Municipal Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you, as a newly graduated teacher, a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
