Alströmergymnasiet in Alingsås Municipality is one of West Sweden's largest upper secondary schools with approximately 1,450 students distributed across 11 national programs, adapted upper secondary school, and introductory programs. The educational operations are divided into seven sectors, each led by a principal, and together we are a team of over 220 employees.

At our school, we are actively working to continuously improve teaching, where scientific rigor and proven experience should permeate our operations to create the highest quality learning environment for our students. WORK ASSIGNMENTS

For us, it is important that our students always feel secure in knowing that Alströmergymnasiet provides the education that strengthens them in realizing themselves and their life goals. As a special needs educator, you have a key role in working together with teaching teachers, mentors, work teams, as well as the school's special needs educators and other student health services, to help and guide students to achieve a upper secondary diploma and to benefit from the teaching in the best possible way based on the student's conditions.

You will work at Sector 3, which is one of six school units at Alströmergymnasiet and currently consists of the Child and Youth Program, the Arts Program, and the Social Science Program. The assignment includes supporting teachers in pedagogical work as well as working with improvements and development in line with current research and systematic quality work.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who are:

• A trained special needs educator

It is meritorious if you have:

• Previous experience working at an upper secondary school
• Specialization in difficulties with mathematics and/or reading development

We believe that you have a good understanding of how students absorb knowledge and how different conditions affect learning. You adapt your support and communication to the recipient and situation, and see opportunities and paths forward through a flexible approach. Through good collaboration skills, you contribute to the meeting with students, teaching teachers, guardians, and other professions to jointly create good conditions for learning and development.

Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: Start in August or according to agreement.
