Welcome to Häggetorpsskolan!

Häggetorpsskolan is a primary school with approximately 255 students from preschool class to grade 6. We now need to strengthen our school with a teaching assistant.

Häggetorpsskolan is located in the southern part of Tibro town center. Here you will find preschool class, primary school grades 1–6, and an after-school center. At Häggetorp, we work in teams with a strong sense of community and high involvement in decision-making processes. Job Responsibilities

We are looking for a teaching assistant for grades F–3 and the after-school center! Do you want to help create a safe and inspiring environment for our youngest students? We are now looking for a teaching assistant who will work closely with students and teachers in the earlier years of primary school, as well as spending some time at the after-school center.

As a teaching assistant, you are an important part of the school's daily life. Your tasks will include, among other things:

  • Create calm, well-being, and safety both inside and outside the classrooms.
  • Support students in exercises, individual work, and group work during lesson time and after-school hours.
  • Handle conflicts and contribute to a positive social environment.
  • Build good relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Care for the students throughout the entire school day.
  • Act as a recess supervisor and contribute to safety on the schoolyard.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Teaching assistant education with a focus on special needs support.
  • Experience working in a school setting.
  • Practical ability to lead groups of children.
  • Confident, clear, and a natural leader in the classroom.
  • Solution-focused, structured, and quality-conscious.
  • Understanding of the importance of extra adaptations and the ability to meet each student based on their individual needs.
  • Ability to quickly build good relationships with both students, colleagues, and guardians.

We value that you have personal and professional maturity that allows you to stand firm in the role while being open to collegial learning and development. Personal suitability will be decisive in the selection process.

Employment Terms

  • Salary Type: Monthly salary.
  • Employment Type: Fixed-term employment.
  • Duration: 6 months or longer.
  • Start Date: 2026-08-11
  • End Date: 2027-06-30

The salary is based on a comprehensive assessment of the demands and responsibilities of the role, educational background, relevant experience, personal suitability, as well as the current salary level for equivalent or similar positions and prevailing market conditions. Questions regarding salary level and salary formation for the position will be answered during the interview.
