Prismaskolan in Mariestad is a grades F-6 school located in a scenic natural area near the center of Mariestad. The school, inaugurated in 2017, offers bright facilities inspired by Lake Vänern and the surrounding nature. The premises are designed to provide conditions for flexible teaching opportunities where school and after-school care collaborate. There is a large schoolyard with opportunities for varied activities.

Job Responsibilities

As a music teacher, you are responsible for planning, evaluating, and following up on your teaching in grades F-6. You handle an exciting subject where students have the chance to open up their creative sides and create contexts. You are part of a work team where you, together with your colleagues, follow set goals and constantly work to develop our operations. We always want to create the best possible conditions for better study results, and you will be involved in this.

At Prismaskolan, music plays an important role in our traditions, and you are expected to lead and organize the musical elements at these occasions, such as Lucia, school closing, and Christmas closing.

Other main job responsibilities include, among other things:

• Documentation regarding students' development.
• Grading in grade 6.
• Collaborating with guardians, colleagues, and possibly external authorities and operations.
• Participating in and contributing to joint activities at the school.

You have great freedom to design the teaching as you wish and space to take your own initiatives. It is important that you have good knowledge of the school's steering documents and can drive your work independently.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you must have a teaching license with eligibility to teach music in grades F-6.
