Sjösportskolan has over 55 years of experience in offshore education and has offered vocational higher education programs since 2021. We are an established education provider with a strong foothold in boating, shipping, and the marine industry. Our office is located in Långedrag, Gothenburg, right in the heart of Gothenburg's boating center.

We are now looking for an Education Manager at 40% who wants to take responsibility for our VHE program Marine Technician, with a current class graduating in January 2027. This role suits you if you are structured, communicative, and confident in driving educational processes forward in close dialogue with students, teaching consultants, the management group, working life, and authorities.

About the role

As an Education Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading, coordinating, and ensuring the quality of our VHE program Marine Technician. You are responsible for ensuring the education is conducted according to the curriculum and meets the requirements of the Swedish University of Applied Sciences (MYH).

The position involves both operational and strategic work. This includes, among other things, contact with students, planning and follow-up of courses, contact with trainers and LIA (Learning in Working Life) placements, administration related to the education, and responsibility for the management group's work.

There is also an opportunity for continued collaboration after the completion of the education, especially if you have experience in developing new VHE programs, writing VHE applications, and driving quality work within vocational higher education.

Your main tasks

The role includes, among other things:

• leading and coordinating the ongoing VHE program Marine Technician
• ensuring the education is conducted according to the curriculum and meets MYH requirements
• being the contact person for students and following up on their progress
• planning, coordinating, and following up on courses together with teaching consultants and industry representatives
• coordinating LIA, supervisors, and working life contacts
• administering and documenting the education continuously
• calling, preparing, and following up on meetings with the education's management group
• driving quality work, evaluations, and improvement measures
• developing content and working methods in dialogue with working life
• maintaining and further developing contacts with business and industry
• contributing to the work with new VHE applications and education development as needed

We are looking for you who

We believe you are a person who thrives with many contact surfaces and who can create structure in a business where both people, authority requirements, and practical details need to be kept together.

We would like you to have:

• experience from vocational higher education, preferably as an education manager or in a similar role
• good knowledge of MYH requirements, curricula, quality work, and management group work
• experience in leading processes, projects, or educational activities
• good administrative skills and habit of documenting, following up, and creating structure
• good communication skills in Swedish, both orally and in writing
• good cooperation skills and a solution-focused approach
• relevant academic degree or equivalent work experience

It is meritorious if you have:

• completed an education manager training
• experience in writing or contributing to VHE applications
• experience in quality work within education
• experience from marine technology, shipping, boating, or other technical educational activities
• an established network within education, shipping, or the marine industry
