Special Needs Teacher for Adapted Primary School, Nya Centralskolan

We are looking for you who are trained as a special needs teacher with a specialization in intellectual disabilities. You have a strong commitment, are solution-focused, and want to make a difference in the students' daily lives. You collaborate easily and thrive as part of a team working to develop both teaching and the learning environment in the school's adapted primary school and special education groups.

Your Role

As a special needs teacher, you work with students who require special support, both in smaller groups and individually. You plan, implement, and follow up on teaching based on the students' needs, regulatory documents, and individual development plans. You may serve as a mentor to students in the adapted primary school, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with colleagues, student health services, and guardians.

Your Profile

You are a licensed teacher with a degree in special needs education and a specialization in intellectual disabilities. You have good knowledge of regulatory documents and strong competence in adapting teaching for students in need of special support.

You have a strong ability to create structure, clarity, and security in the learning environment, which contributes to students' development and goal achievement.

Experience working in an adapted primary school or special education group is meritorious.

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and implementing teaching in adapted primary school and/or special education groups
• Mapping students' needs and contributing to pedagogical assessments
• Designing, following up, and evaluating action plans
• Serving as a pedagogical support and sounding board for colleagues
• Actively participating in the school's student health work
