Coordinator within Home Care Services – Develop Care with Us!
Lerum Municipality is known for its beautiful natural settings with lakes and forests. The municipality has 3,200 employees and 43,000 residents but expects significant growth in the coming years. Lerum is located just a 20-minute drive from Gothenburg and is currently facing a period of intense development with many exciting projects underway, ranging from schools to housing. The municipality works to ensure good service, high welfare, and a thriving business climate.
Dagens Samhälle named Lerum the winner in the category of large city municipalities (2025) – an award based on a comprehensive comparison of 290 Swedish municipalities in areas such as education, healthcare and social care, economy, culture and leisure, attractiveness, business life, and future factors such as digitalization and civil preparedness. Lerum is, in short, a Super Municipality!
About the Role
Lerum Municipality is currently developing home care services through a new working method where the development of all professional roles and the care staff's opportunities to influence daily planning are at the center. As part of this, we are now strengthening the operations by adding another coordinator and planning advisor who can support our managers and employees in their daily work.
Welcome to us!
1 position(s).
Responsibilities
In the role of coordinator within home care, you will receive assignments from social workers, work with daily visit planning, and staffing. You are the hub for communication between various stakeholders within home care, including staff, care recipients, relatives, assistance handlers, and external partners. Additionally, you collaborate closely with unit managers and serve as their support.
As a coordinator with us, you play a key role in the development of our new working method where intervention planning is largely done by the staff. In your role, you act as a planning advisor, provide guidance to employees in their daily work, create a qualitative and efficient distribution of interventions in the planning tool TES, and thereby create a good working environment for our employees.
The position involves a broad area of responsibility with varying administrative tasks, requiring a holistic perspective, especially since you will work across several areas in Lerum Municipality. A central part of the assignment therefore includes close collaboration with the other home care districts to ensure a uniform and efficient operation.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have relevant education in administration directed towards healthcare and social care, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
We see that you have experience in mentoring employees or colleagues as well as good experience of collaboration in various forms. If you have further experience within home care or social care, this is meritorious, as is previous experience of coordination and planning.
Since a large part of our daily work takes place in various systems, we consider it highly meritorious if you have experience and knowledge of handling TES, Treserva, Heroma, and/or TimeCare.
We are looking for someone who is structured, independent, and enthusiastic about exploring new ideas. The work is varied and requires the ability to handle different situations, as well as good collaboration skills. Good communication, a positive and professional approach are crucial.
The work can be intense at times, so the ability to remain calm is important. For us, it is important that you have a positive attitude towards your work and towards people. You should be able to express yourself well both orally and in writing. Commitment, ambition, and precision are important, while we also value your flexibility and creativity.
We view positively your ability to inspire colleagues and create a positive work environment. We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.
We apply continuous recruitment, so if you want to make a difference in people's lives while having a meaningful career, submit your application today! Interviews are planned to take place during weeks 30-32.
