Do you want to work at the intersection of qualified legal analysis, technological innovation, and societal development? Do you want to contribute to mapping the legal challenges surrounding future technologies while building a strong network within the West Swedish innovation ecosystem? Lindholmen Science Park is looking for a lawyer who wants to become part of our team and contribute to a highly relevant feasibility study.
About the Assignment
The assignment involves working in a team on a feasibility study regarding legal challenges related to dual-use technology, i.e., technology with both civilian and military applications among West Swedish companies. The study aims to create a structured knowledge base and map how regulations impact technological development and innovation in a changing environment.
About the Role
As a lawyer, you will become part of the project team and work in close collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders. This is a versatile role that combines qualified legal research with practical collaboration. One day you will delve into legal issues and regulatory analyses. The next day, you will meet with companies, researchers, or government representatives to gather perspectives and understand and map the challenges these entities face. You will have the opportunity to develop your legal expertise in a highly current area while building a broad professional network.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Contribute to analyses, legal investigations, and interview studies within the framework of the feasibility study.
- Identify and structure complex legal issues related to dual-use technology.
- Participate in and facilitate dialogues with companies and other external stakeholders.
- Network and establish new contacts with participants and key figures in the feasibility study.
- Contribute to documentation, report writing, and the production of written material.
- Participate in and present at meetings, workshops, and seminars.
- Work according to academic methods to contribute to a structured and high-quality knowledge base.
We are looking for someone who
- Has a law degree and 0-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Has strong legal understanding and very good analytical skills.
- Has a genuine interest in legal issues related to technological development, innovation, and societal development.
- Has an interest in investigative work, academic writing, and academic methods.
- Can work in a structured and independent manner, while also being a strong team player.
- Has excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Swedish and English.
It is an advantage if you have experience or interest in any of the following areas:
- Tech law or regulatory issues related to new technology.
- Security, defense, or export control-related issues.
- Research-related work, investigations, or report writing.
- Contacts within industry, academia, or the public sector.
Personal Attributes
To thrive in this role, you are curious and motivated by the desire to understand both legal and technical perspectives. You are unpretentious, collaborative, and comfortable reaching out to new people and organizations. You enjoy giving presentations and participating actively in meetings. Since the assignment involves operating in areas of strategic importance, we are looking for a person with high integrity, attention to detail, and excellent judgment. Above all, you have a genuine interest in working at the intersection of law, technology, and innovation. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
