About the assignment

We are currently looking for an accountant for our client in Tjörn, starting around September 14th until December 11th. There may be an opportunity for extension. The work takes place during office hours 08:00–16:30 with possibilities for flexible and remote work. The role's scope is estimated between 50 and 80 %.

Your responsibilities

As an accountant, you will support the municipal construction operations and its various departments with financial matters. You will work closely with the business regarding budgets, forecasts, follow-ups, annual accounts, and reporting, while also contributing with analyses and financial decision support. The role also includes financial follow-up of investments and separate accounting, with a special focus on water, wastewater, and waste operations.

The responsibilities also include:

• Supporting municipal construction operations.
• Supporting all operations.
• Being responsible for budgets, forecasts, follow-ups, and annual accounts.
• Producing financial reports and decision support materials.

Your qualifications

• Experience in finance within municipal construction operations.
• Experience with municipal finance.
• Experience in accounting, budgeting, follow-up, forecasting, and annual accounts.
• Experience with programs such as Unit4/Agresso, Hyperion, Excel, and to a lesser extent other systems e.g., EDP.
• Experience with separate accounting, investments, and component accounting.
• Experience with waste operations as well as water and wastewater.
