The Health and Elder Care Administration in Borås City works towards the goal that both younger and older residents in need of care, support, and services, as well as healthcare and preventive health work, should have a good life every day. The Economic Function at the Health and Elder Care Administration consists of eight employees who, among other things, work with budgeting and budget follow-up, accounting, annual reports, resource allocation, project reporting, premises coordination, and other common assignments.

The position is based on Ramnåsgatan in Borås, with proximity to both the city center, the natural park area around Ramnasjön, and the station with bus and train connections.

The work as an economist here involves qualified economic work where you will work with budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up for parts of our organization. You will support and guide the administration's managers in economic matters with the goal of utilizing our shared tax resources efficiently. You will monitor and analyze the economy while understanding and being able to explain the connection between economics and operations, providing advice and support in economic matters to the administration's many managers.

We handle large amounts of economic data and many economic responsibilities. Your role will be both strategic and operational when it comes to economic reporting, focusing more on larger flows than individual transactions. As an economist here, you need to understand, handle, and work with complex distribution models while possessing solid knowledge in economic reporting, which is the final destination of these models. The work will be independent, with both freedom and responsibility. In addition, there are several elements of group work and collaboration with economists, managers, and other functions in Borås City. We believe you want to handle tasks of varying complexity and content, where administrative tasks also occur.

You have the ability to be adaptable and can handle changes and challenges well. You find it easy to collaborate, are meticulous, and are accustomed to taking responsibility for your tasks. You have good strategic and analytical skills that contribute to the development of the operations. You who apply to us have a university degree with an economic focus, or public administration.

We would appreciate it if you had several years of experience in economic work such as budgeting, forecasting, and analysis work. Education and knowledge within public administration such as the Public Procurement Act, the Municipal Act, etc., are also highly valued. We value good pedagogical skills where you can create understanding even among those who are not economists themselves. We also see that you have an aptitude for various system support, and are a proficient Excel user with experience in economic systems, preferably Raindance.
