About the workplace

The municipalities of Töreboda and Gullspång have decided to collaborate within the environmental and building sector and are in the startup phase of creating a completely new environmental and building department. The department is responsible for the municipalities' work with regulatory authority within the environmental and building sector, as well as measurement, mapping, GIS, and the examination and supervision of alcohol and tobacco sales. We are now looking for an Alcohol and Tobacco Case Officer for the new department.

Responsibilities

As an Alcohol and Tobacco Case Officer, you will primarily handle the examination and supervision according to the Alcohol and Tobacco Act. You will process applications, conduct supervision, provide information, advice, and guidance, and collaborate with other authorities and partners. The role involves making assessments and drafting decisions. You will present cases to the Environmental and Building Committee. Work during evenings, nights, and weekends occurs in connection with supervision. The position may potentially be combined with other tasks within the environmental and health protection sector, such as food safety supervision.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a suitable post-secondary education that the employer deems suitable for the position, for example within economics, law, administration, or similar. It is meritorious if you have experience from regulatory authority work within municipal or state operations. You have knowledge of economics and have a good understanding of financial reporting, bookkeeping, and other documentation, as well as the ability to apply legislation in practice.

You take great personal responsibility, are structured, meticulous, and have good ability to communicate clearly in speech and writing. You are service-oriented and solution-focused with professional and adapted customer service. You are confident in the role of civil servant and serve as a good representative for the employer towards companies, other authorities, the general public, and others.

As an Alcohol and Tobacco Case Officer, you can expect a salary between approximately 36,000 – 45,000 SEK depending on experience and competence; individual salary setting applies.

We will place great emphasis on personal qualities and suitability when appointing the position.

A B-class driver's license is required.
