Job Responsibilities
About the Role
As a Loss Prevention Specialist at Göta Lejon, you play a key role in developing and strengthening loss prevention efforts for our clients. Together with colleagues who have broad expertise in risk and insurance, you work to create long-term sustainable and secure operations.
With a holistic perspective on risks and loss prevention measures, you identify, analyze, and assess risks that may impact the City of Gothenburg. The role involves both strategic and operational work where, through site visits, analysis, and advisory services, you contribute to strengthening clients' ability to prevent and manage risks.
You work closely with both clients and colleagues, serving as an important support in matters concerning risk management and loss prevention. Together with a senior risk colleague, you contribute to coordinating and further developing the company's loss prevention work.
Examples of your responsibilities include:
- Plan and conduct site visits based on identified risks and analyzed needs.
- Provide advice and support to clients in their loss prevention work.
- Prepare analyses, statistics, fact sheets, project reports, and other decision-making materials.
- Be responsible for and administer certain systems and databases related to loss prevention.
- Participate in and support claims handling when needed.
- Contribute to the development of methods and working practices within risk and loss prevention.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues and, if necessary, support other parts of the business.
Qualifications
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in risk management and loss prevention. You are confident in your skills, eager to develop, and have a proactive approach to your work.
As a person, you are analytical, structured, and initiative-taking. You have a knack for seeing the big picture while also being able to delve into details when the situation requires it. You are communicative and have the ability to explain complex issues clearly and pedagogically. Since the role involves many contacts, we also value your teamwork skills.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A degree in Fire Engineering or other relevant higher education.
- At least a couple of years of experience in risk management, loss prevention, or a related field.
- Good ability to structure, plan, and organize your work.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experience in independently driving tasks and projects.
It is an advantage if you have:
- Knowledge of shell protection and physical security.
- Experience from the insurance industry.
- Experience working with the Swedish National Board of Housing, Building and Planning's building regulations (Boverkets byggregler).
