About the job:

Voppa Omsorg is currently looking for a full-time substitute (parental leave cover) for one of our residential facilities located in Gothenburg. The working hours are varied and include day shifts, night shifts (sleeping on-call), and weekend work. The position starts at the end of August and runs until April 2027, with the possibility of extension.

Our residents are aged 21 and older, living either in shared housing or in apartments. The shared housing is exclusively for women, while the apartments house both women and men. The facility is drug-free, and we support individuals in social vulnerability with the goal of helping them live as independent a life as possible.

Responsibilities:

Your main responsibilities include supporting the residents based on their individual implementation plans and being available for support conversations. The role also involves administrative tasks such as documentation and contact with relevant authorities, police, etc. The position also entails some household chores to create a home-like environment for our guests.

The facility is staffed 24/7. During weekends and nights, you may work partially alone, which requires you to be comfortable taking responsibility and making quick decisions.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Education: To be considered for this position, you must have completed or be currently studying a post-secondary education as a social worker, behavioral scientist, social pedagogue, or equivalent. We work using several approaches and methods such as TMO, LAB, CBT, and MI, where MI (Motivational Interviewing) is a requirement.
• Experience: We are looking for someone with previous experience working with people in crisis and in need of support due to violence exposure, substance abuse issues, and/or mental health challenges.
• Documentation: The position requires experience with documentation and the ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing, as the work involves a degree of administration.
• Driver's License: You must have a driver's license and be comfortable driving a car, as this is part of the daily work.

You are calm and self-assured and can convey your calmness to others. You are warm and a good listener who believes in people's ability to change their lives. Furthermore, you are pedagogical, empathetic, and creative in your approach. You must also be comfortable stepping into acute situations.

Final candidates will be required to provide a certificate from the Swedish Police Authority (Brottsregister).
