Kungälv Municipality is a place where we create value in people's daily lives together. Our vision shows the direction forward, and our keywords – courage, respect, and co-creation – guide us in how we work every day. A good workplace culture and support for your personal development are important to us. Your contribution counts!
Description
Do you want to make a difference and create quality of life for other people? Then you belong with us!
We are looking for you who want to work as a casual employee (hourly paid substitute) within our operations – group homes, service apartments, social psychiatry, children and youth activities, and personal assistance. Here, you work with people with various disabilities, where the support is based on the individual's approved LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) or SoL (Social Services Act) decisions.
As a casual employee, you step in as needed and have the opportunity to work days, evenings, and weekends – and in some cases, also sleeping on-call duty. The job suits you if you want a flexible job where you can influence when you work.
Our operations run 24/7, year-round, which provides good opportunities for varied work shifts.
To ensure you have a secure start, you will receive an introduction to the operations. If you thrive with us, there are good opportunities for continued employment.
Job Responsibilities
As a casual employee, you become part of a dedicated staff group where you contribute to creating a secure and meaningful everyday life for our users.
Your tasks involve providing care, support, and services based on individual needs. This can include daily chores such as cleaning, laundry, cooking, shopping, and leisure activities, as well as nursing care and medication management.
In your work, it is important that you are attentive, motivating, and work in a pedagogical manner. You always base your work on the individual's needs, wishes, and abilities.
Qualifications
Requirements:
- You must be 18 years old when the employment starts.
- You must have good mental and physical stamina.
- Ability to receive delegated medication administration after training.
- Good knowledge of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
- Good computer skills, as the computer is one of our work tools.
Merits:
- Experience working with people with various disabilities or other experience within care, social psychiatry, or similar fields.
- Education within healthcare and social care, child and youth activities, or similar.
- A B-category driver's license is desirable and, in some cases, a requirement.
- For some of our workplaces, you also need access to your own car to commute.
We value that you are positive, responsible, and flexible. We also want you to have great empathetic ability and be attentive.
What does our recruitment process look like?
- Selection and interviews take place continuously during the application period based on the needs of the operations.
