The Child Resource Unit and the Family Resource Unit work with parental support and individual child and youth interventions. The target group is children aged 0–18 years and their guardians. We work with needs-assessed interventions and will now also work with non-needs-assessed interventions.

The Child Resource Unit and the Family Resource Unit currently work with family therapy, parental support, and individual child and youth interventions based on needs assessment (formerly assistance) and are now expanding to also work with Intervention Without Needs Assessment (IUB). The most important task is conversations that lead to change in the family in question. Regarding IUB, the family will state what they see as concerns, and the family therapist will start from this, adding their knowledge, experience, and analysis, in consultation with the family. Building trust and setting goals and sub-goals for the change work together with the family becomes an important part of working for positive change. Identifying and collaborating with other parties that can be of support in the change, together with the family, is also an important task.

Tasks

As a family therapist, you will work with, among other things, parent-child/teen/family conversations, interaction therapy, guidance in the home, or working with issues regarding school attendance. The work may take place both in the families' homes, in our premises, and out on other arenas in society. The work is both independent and done in collaboration with colleagues. With us, you participate in preparations and follow-ups of the treatment work and collaborate with other parties, depending on what you and the families determine is needed.

Your tasks include, among other things:

• Family therapy focusing on development and interaction.
• Building relationships with families to understand their unique challenges and strengths.
• Working towards clearly set goals together with families.
• Documenting, evaluating, and following up on interventions to ensure quality and effect.

You actively participate in the organization's quality work and, together with method supervisors, unit managers, and others, are involved in the development work regarding IUB.

We have regular process supervision with an external supervisor and method supervision provided by our two method supervisors at each respective unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a social worker with previous experience of working as a family therapist for at least a few years. It is meritorious if you have experience working with IUB. You need to have good experience and knowledge of child development and behavioral patterns, as well as attachment theory.

You will work in the Hisingen district and thus meet people with different backgrounds, origins, and opportunities, which requires that you have good interaction skills and the ability to build trust. We also want you to be responsible and receptive, and able to provide good interaction, both regarding the family and the individuals you meet, but also with collaboration partners. You need to be able to maintain good structure in your work and be creative in finding ways to carry out the task, as well as having good analytical ability to see and understand patterns in the family. We value that you can utilize people's resources and are solution-focused. The work implies that you must be able to work both independently and in a team. You therefore need to be self-reliant, able to make your own decisions, and have good collaboration skills. That you enjoy development and want to contribute to it is something we see as important and very positive.

It is also meritorious if you have education in systemic working methods, attachment theory, BOF, COS, or similar. You like to work with digital systems and are familiar with, among other things, the Office package and Treserva.

For your interview, you need to bring a passport/national ID and possibly proof of residence permit if you have citizenship outside the EU/EES. This is so that we as employers can verify your identity and ensure that you have the right to work in Sweden.

Social Services Hisingen is part of the social services in Gothenburg City. We are one of four social services departments. We work purposefully to create a better everyday life for the residents of Hisingen.

We offer support within individual and family care, social emergency services, help with addiction, and in integration issues. We also work with leisure activities and preventive work regarding, for example, public health work, urban planning, local safety work, and integration issues.
