In our short-term care homes, we provide various services for people with disabilities; short-term supervision, short-term stays, accompaniment, and respite care at home. The activity is part of the Health and Care sector, Skövde Municipality.

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a support assistant for Larsesgården Short-Term Care for children and young people with disabilities. We work with LSS services such as short-term supervision and short-term stays, as well as accompaniment service and respite service for children and young people with disabilities.
You will be part of a staff group together with other support assistants and support educators. Together with your work team, you are responsible for good and secure care as well as planning and carrying out activities. The assignment also includes regular evaluation and work with documentation in our systems. The goal of the activity is to offer the users a meaningful stay with the users' needs and wishes in focus, as well as providing relief for parents.
You will work according to a schedule that includes day/evening and weekends. Within the Health and Care sector, we work flexibly between the different units. This means that you will also work shifts (resource shifts) at other units.
Qualifications
We are looking for you with a high school education and passing grades from the care and nursing program or the child and leisure program, or other equivalent education.
Desirable is experience with clarifying pedagogy, low-affective handling, and alternative communication (AKK). It is desirable that you have experience working with people with disabilities such as intellectual disabilities and autism spectrum disorders. Experience working with children and young people is also meritorious.
As a person, you are calm and secure and have a respectful, good, and adapted approach. You have the ability to build trust. To succeed in the role, we also see that you need to be very flexible and able to adapt quickly to different situations. The work involves great responsibility, the ability to plan and make decisions, cooperate, and collaborate.
In this role, it is important that you can communicate orally and in writing in Swedish because you and the user need to understand each other, but also to be able to carry out documentation. You are computer literate and preferably have experience with social documentation.
A prerequisite for you to be able to work with us is that you have a Category B driver's license for a manually shifted car.
Upon employment, an extract from the police criminal record must be shown.
