We are now looking for you who want to start working at the psychiatric residence on Styrmansgatan together with us towards our vision; a dignified life for all!

Styrmansgatan Group Home Styrmansgatan is a group home offering support and care for adults with mental disabilities. There are 12 apartments for people with LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and SoL (Social Services Act) decisions, and we are staffed around the clock. We are a residence where residents stay despite greater physical care needs.

Support Assistant/Treatment Assistant at Styrmansgatan We want to create good conditions for the residents and work with habilitation. Therefore, we are looking for you who see the importance of meeting people at eye level, enjoy good collaboration with colleagues, and above all, want a meaningful job!

Respons:

  • Responsible for support and care in daily life based on the user's needs.
  • Contact person responsibility together with a colleague for 2 of our residents.
  • Continuous work with social documentation.
  • Simple cooking in the evenings and weekends for the residents.
  • Collaboration with outpatient care.

Qualifications: We are looking for you who believe in every person's right to a dignified life and who:

  • Have a degree from the Care and Nursing Program, Support Assistant Education, post-secondary specialization in the disability area, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Have worked in psychiatry, dual diagnosis, and with somatic difficulties.
  • Have a genuine interest in the target group and want to contribute to a good quality of life for our residents.
  • Are accustomed to working with low-affective approaches and meet our residents and colleagues with goodwill and respect.
  • Have good ability to express and formulate yourself in speech and writing.
  • Have a good ability to work pedagogically regarding common goals and methods based on the individual's implementation plan.
  • Have studied and share The Salvation Army's value system and want to follow our interaction codes through respect, warmth, and dignity.

As a person, you are secure and stable, with the ability to take personal responsibility for your tasks and handle relationships and tasks in a professional manner. You are friendly and helpful to other people even in stressful situations. You show respect to everyone you meet at work. You understand the common mission and work to make it as good as possible. You can balance the demands placed on you and can make well-founded decisions despite time pressure. You have the ability to put yourself in someone else's perspective or situation without taking over the person's feelings. You are a team player who finds it easy to convey and receive messages.

Merits: We consider it a merit if you:

  • Have worked in a group home.
  • Have delegation for medication.
  • Have experience with MI (Motivational Interviewing).
  • Have education in and have worked with low-affective interaction.
  • Have a Category B driver's license for manual transmission.

Employment Conditions

Employment Type: Permanent position with a 6-month probation period. Scope: Full-time. Working Hours: Varying according to schedule (day, evening, and weekend). Start Date: August 17, 2026, or as agreed. Collective Agreement: We are affiliated with the employer organization Fremia and apply the Vision's collective agreement “Health, Care and Other Care”. Recruitment: Prior to employment, we take references and request extracts from the criminal record register. Application Deadline: July 19, 2026
