We are looking for summer substitutes in Angered

We are now looking for summer substitutes for a hourly position as a personal assistant for a man living in Angered. The position is a summer substitute role with the possibility of extension after the summer for the right person.

We would prefer that you can start your hourly employment immediately, so that you get a secure introduction and have time to get into the work before the summer period.

About the client

The client is a cheerful boy who is active and likes to come up with things. He attends day activities during the week, and he does not have his personal assistant there. He likes music, baking, and cooking together with his assistant. He loves taking the bus and tram, and swims once a week (it is not relevant for you to be present at the swimming pool at the beginning). He has a mental disability, including Autism. This means that as an assistant, you need to work with clarifying pedagogy and follow an implementation plan that describes in detail how the assistants should work. Pictures and symbols are also used as support.

Qualifications and preferences

We are now looking for an assistant who has experience working with people with mental disabilities such as autism. Preferably someone who enjoys being outdoors and active/coming up with things, and has also worked with clarifying pedagogy. Experience in personal assistance is meritorious but not a requirement – personal suitability weighs heavier. Experience with autism and working with symbols as support is highly meritorious.

Job duties and working hours

The position is an hourly employment over the summer with work primarily during evening and night shifts (including waiting time).

  • On weekdays, the shifts are scheduled approximately from 15:40–08:10.
  • On weekends, the work shifts are usually designed as 24-hour shifts from 11:00–11:00, although the times may vary slightly.

In the morning, the user travels with transport service to their day activity.
