ABOUT THE POSITION

We at Kura Omsorg are currently looking for a personal assistant for our client in Vänersborg. The position is permanent with irregular, varying working hours starting in August. If you have the possibility to start the position earlier as a temporary substitute, we view this positively. All working hours mentioned in the job description are part of the role, and to be considered for the position, you must be able to work all shifts. Weekend work is included every other weekend.

The working hours include:

• 08:00 - 11:30 Thursdays only

• 14:00 - 19:00 Fridays only

• 15:30 - 21:00 weekdays

• 21:00 - 08:00 weekdays - overnight waiting time

• 08:00 - 19:00 weekends

• 19:00 - 08:00 weekends - overnight waiting time

Start date is by agreement, in early August. We would appreciate it if you could start the introduction immediately.

ABOUT THE CLIENT

The client is a happy and lively young woman in her 20s. She has Pitt-Hopkins syndrome, autism, ADHD, intellectual disability, and does not use verbal speech. Her assistants use picture support and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) to communicate with her.

Furthermore, she has a positive and curious attitude towards life. She loves animals, movement, and music, and finds it exciting to watch others play sports. She has a great need to be active and feels her best when she is active – through walks, gymnastics, dancing, or swimming.

As an assistant, you are an important part of enabling her active and content-rich everyday life. You accompany her and participate in activities such as visits to shopping centers, swimming pools, gymnastics, and music cafes. You support her in daily routines, such as dressing and personal hygiene. The role also includes helping with cooking, cleaning, and other household chores, as well as creating structure and keeping her schedule organized.

We are looking for a happy and energetic assistant. You enjoy singing and are not afraid to be yourself. Furthermore, you have a genuine interest in working with people and a good ability to notice and analyze the individual's needs.

As a person, you are sensitive, proactive, and solution-focused. You are engaged in your work and understand the importance of adapting your support based on the situation and the individual's condition. Personal suitability is highly valued. The client requests female applicants.

REQUIREMENTS

• Driver's license (manual/automatic)

• Non-smoker

• Able to tolerate scratches/Can swim

• Proficient in AAC or willing to learn

• Understand and be able to communicate clearly in Swedish

Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other compensations in accordance with the collective agreement.

From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Swedish Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so it is advisable to order in good time.
