About the job

We are now looking for two Senior Social Secretaries (1st Social Secretaries) for two investigative units at Children and Youth 1 and 4 within the North East Social Administration, based at the social office in Hjällbo.

On the investigative units, we investigate families' need for support and protection based on current legislation and established guidelines following received reports/applications. We handle cases according to the Social Services Act (SOL) and the Care of Young Persons Act (LVU), follow up on granted support, and ensure that the family's own resources and solutions are utilized.

As a Senior Social Secretary, you lead social secretaries based on current legislation and are responsible for case management and legal security. In your role, you serve as an accessible and close support where you lead, coach, and provide methodological guidance in daily work. You represent the social services in the individual committee as well as in relevant legal processes/negotiations. You are responsible for method development and keep yourself updated in the field through current research. Based on the assignment, you will collaborate with other actors, both internally and externally. You will also be part of a group of Senior Social Secretaries, which enables good collegial support and the strength to drive the development of the children and youth operations in the North East.

Children and Youth 1 and 4 consist of a unit manager, three Senior Social Secretaries, and 18 Social Secretaries. As a Senior Social Secretary with us, you support a group of six social secretaries. It is an exciting and stimulating operation where we collaborate and have a good work climate. The work is based on BBIC, Signs of Safety, and SKR's investigation on improved documentation. We also work according to the FAS system, which provides conditions for a good work environment, reasonable workload, and recovery. There is also great opportunity to influence and build up the unit together with colleagues.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a degree in Social Work and several years of experience as a Social Secretary in child welfare authorities. Previous experience in leadership within the field is considered an advantage. You are well grounded in the legislation regarding interventions within the Social Services Act (SOL) and current coercive legislation (LVU). You also need to have good knowledge of the documentation system Treserva and experience and knowledge of working according to BBIC.

In the role of Senior Social Secretary, you take responsibility for your and the joint tasks with the operation's best interest in focus. You are keen on completing your tasks and ensuring they are performed correctly. Furthermore, you have the ability to adapt your communication to the recipient, target group, and situation. You can add enthusiasm and energy through convincing arguments that encourage good performance, team spirit, and increased motivation.

As a leader, you are receptive and actively seek others' opinions and perspectives, and are open to them by showing respect, consideration, and care. You place great importance on working for cohesion in the work group and create space for dialogue. Based on the role of Senior Social Secretary, you use time efficiently and work systematically, organized, and methodically. You also ensure that the work is completed and follow up on results.
