Varabygdens Parish is a large rural parish, yet through its affiliation with the Church of Sweden in the Diocese of Skara, it is also a small part of the vast global Christian church. Our mission is to clearly speak about Jesus through both word and deed; "The world needs your love flowing through us" (Swedish Hymnal 96).

Do you want to help create a safe, creative, and meaningful activity for children? We are now looking for a substitute children's leader for our children's ministry.

In this role, you will meet children and their families in the parish's various activities and contribute to community, engagement, and participation. The work is carried out in close collaboration with other employees in the team. The duties include both planning and implementation of the activities. Evening and weekend work may occur.

We are looking for someone with relevant education and/or experience for the role, who enjoys meeting children of various ages.

You are responsible, engaged, social, driven, and have good teamwork skills. Great emphasis will be placed on personal qualities and your ability to build good relationships and create a safe environment for the children.

The position is a temporary contract at 80% until December 18, 2026, with a possible extension. Start date: August 24.

You must be a member of the Church of Sweden and share our values. A valid Class B driver's license and access to a personal car are required. An extract from the Swedish Police Authority's criminal record register is required.
