Social Secretary to the Social Services, Support and Care Unit
The Support and Care Unit is part of Safety and Support within Individual and Family Care.
At the unit, we process interventions according to the Social Services Act (SoL). Our unit consists of 17 experienced social secretaries with great commitment and high competence within the area of operations.
The unit is currently led by two senior social secretaries and a unit manager.
In your role, you will receive support from experienced and engaged colleagues as well as accessible management that supports you in your work.
As our colleague moves on to new challenges, we are now looking for a new colleague and employee.
This autumn, we will implement changes within the unit to create even better conditions for our social secretaries in their assignments, strengthen our preventive work, increase our accessibility, and offer a knowledge-based social service in the long term.
In your role, you will become a central part of this development. You will contribute to shaping, implementing, and adapting our routines and ways of working so that they meet the new requirements and guidelines that follow from the intentions of the Social Services Act.

Tasks
Our mission is to meet the individual's need for interventions with the aim of contributing to increased independence based on the individual's conditions. We place great importance on the individual's participation. We use the investigation method IBIC.
- Investigate and process cases according to SoL.
- Assess needs and make decisions on interventions.
- Provide support and guidance to the individual, relatives, or representatives.
- Collaborate with other authorities and actors.
- Document and follow up on cases.
Qualifications
As a person, you are meticulous and independent and find it easy to handle when conditions and planning change in your work. You have the ability to drive several complex investigations simultaneously, and your flexibility allows you to quickly reprioritize your work when the situation requires it. Since the work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you need to have good cooperation skills, be outgoing, and have good professional handling to succeed in your assignment.
You should have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
- Social work degree or other relevant higher education.
- Experience in authority exercise.
- Experience of working within social services or similar operations.
- Good knowledge of SoL and other relevant legislation.
- Ability to work independently and in teams.
- Good communication skills and empathetic handling.
- Knowledge of Treserva and IBIC is meritorious.
- Category B driver's license is a requirement.
